this but characters for me.
Next comes the phase where you stop caring who these unknown celebrities even are. Get off my lawn.
Then there’s the phase where you are watching something and people are trying to remember if the actor is still alive or not
When Rishi Sunak was Prime Minister I searched him up to see where in Southampton he grew up. Because I grew up just outside Southampton.
Anyway, that was when I discovered that I was only 6 months younger than the Prime Minister. And I did not like that at all.
I mainly just search celebrities I grew up with to see if they died.
My favourite is forgetting that someone died and then finding out and having to grumble about it all over again.
This seems to be a frequent occurrence for those who died during (but usually not from) COVID due to the time warp.
Every six months or so I have to look up whether Bob Dylan is still alive. And then I forget again.
i went on a trip and apparently bob dylan was on tour for a couple days where we were staying. i’m like, yeah for me that’s a once in a lifetime experience, but i didn’t have an extra $800 for that kind of once in a lifetime experiences right ever. I did have an extra $800 for barbecue though, so you’ll never guess what we did
Just wait for that first time that you realize your doctor is younger than you.
I work in health care and I love young doctors. I truly do. But when they want to talk to me about weight loss and getting a colonoscopy, I do not love them.
not me. i love when they talk about getting a colonoscopy. first, i know a titch more than general practitioners do about gastrointestinal medicine. second, i do not have a colon. it’s really fun leading them on with misleading questions for about thirty seconds.
The best thing about a colonoscopy is that once it’s over, you’ve got a decade until your next one.
There were so many child celebrities back when I was a kid, and they all made it big before me still.
i wanted to be a working musician or an actor up until my early 20s. then i learned about the shit performers go through and how sporadic work is even if you’re successful (see: having to have a day job unless you’re the 1%) and decided I still wanted to be a musician, just not a “professional” one. also, fuck being a professional.
now we’ve somewhat cornered the market on a specific dying instrument. a few groups in the region have offered us positions to play with them. honestly we’d play with them all if they wouldn’t all have chosen thursday for rehearsal night, i wish they’d coordinate. we chose the one with our closest friends in it.
its called fossilization
I don’t like it when I comment that an actress looks short only to find out she’s two inches taller than my short ass when I look her up online…
Heh. You’re short.
How’s the air up there? Do you play basketball? Etc.
I’m an nba fan and I went from watching players 15 years older than me to players 20 years younger than me.
This is why I’m happy that Joe Flacco is still in the NFL, I’m not older than the entire league YET (same works for LeBron)
Celebrity is a loose term these days. Just because they have a million followers doesn’t mean they’re worth knowing.
Wait until it’s world leaders.
Don’t use google. EZPZ
Or waste time looking up celebrities, regardless of the medium.
