      Ayahuasca rituals!
I’ve seen several severe alcoholics come back from those weekend guided retreats not drinking liquor anymore, now carrying an inner glow, a new peace and contentment that didn’t seem to be there before they took the plunge and imbibed that stew in that tent, or around a fire, chants in the background…

Wow! I really wanna believe this beyond just anecdotal cases, that’s pretty amazing if so. Seems like a worthwhile endeavor to at least try for anyone with an already years-long established alcohol problem.

These rituals have always been sacraments for pre-Hispanic cultures and religions; as such, in the past couple of decades they have been legalized in both Mexico and the USA.

These ayahuasca or peyote retreats announce their retreats in social media, I know this happens in New Mexico, California and Baja California, surely other states in both countries also have these weekend retreats, but I’ve personally never been to one of these.
What I have been doing is practicing daily meditation for the past seven years, I haven’t really felt the call yet to partake in an ayahuasca ritual.
