I was walking through the mall with some friends one day and one of the booth people walked up and tried to sell me something.
I said, “sorry I don’t have any money on me right now, I just bought $100k of crystal meth in the parking lot from a nice older gentleman.”
they looked at me and asked if I was serious. Once I confirmed they looked around and asked if they could buy some off me. So I told them to come to a specific playground next to the parking lot in an hour and I’ll hook them up.

The kind of thoughts that keep me up at night
I have a friend, whom I have like a very small common circle with. For some reason, they mentioned me to a coworker, like “I have this friend who does this and that”, mentioning some strange quirk I have. The coworker goes “Yo, do you mean <my name>?! I’ve met him once!”. Apparently I weirded them out enough to remember me years later.
Knowing what the strange quirk is would add a lot to this anecdote. And maybe a clue as to your cultural milieu?
Otherwise we’re all just thinking about every (self-percevied) quirk that we try to tell ourselves nobody else notices lol.
