Yes it does. The diuretic effects of caffeine are overrated.
I think the only liquids you could consume that wouldn’t hydrate you are alcoholic. The dieruetic effect of caffiene is very minor and also specific to already needing to eliminate waste, and the sugar content of soda and juice isn’t high enough to cause dehydration. And even with the alcohol, it might be fine with a low percentage beverage, like beer or wine.
iirc it’s something like ~2.8% ABV where it stops being hydrating.
What about a southern sweet tea? I understand the high temperature is taken advantage of to dissolve more sugar into it (which just sounds gross to me).

it depends on how strong the coffee is. if you use 1 grain of instant coffee for 0.5 L of water, then yes, it hydrates you more than it dehydrates you.

Well the rough draft needs supervisor approval first anyway. Also have to route it to the admin assistant to format it properly and insert official letterhead and digital signature. Depending on sensitivity might need review by management. Heck, the director might need to get routed in. Meeting about it now next Friday.

Well, it’s just the preconference meeting before taking the recommendation to the Director and the department heads need to be up to speed before taking it to leadership.
