The archives name thousands of former informants who spied on citizens for the state security services during decades of one-party rule. The prime minister said “many families will now face difficult information.”

Says the people who committed the The Holocaust and are now crimalizing opposing another genocide.

Germans were never sufficiently punished, and here we are again.

Whatabout? I like how that whataboutism does have such a poor resolution that one can’t even read the names. That said, lots of ex nazis in the army after the war, on both side of the in German border.

It’s not a third person. It’s the same people. That’s hypocrisy, not whataboutism.

The GDR never elevated former Nazis to power. Name one ever.

Now you’re just being a Nazi apologist.

Forced labor is not the “working for”. They extracted what information they could from scientists and then executed, imprisoned, or repatriated them. 😂

          do you even meme bro?

you’re arguing a point that has been disproven since 2024. when the question of “which is worse, a democrat with a history of Israeli support or a narcissistic pedophiliac rapist?” was answered, we figured out that (surprise) the rapist was the worse option out of all the options.

stop hiding behind dead children and take responsibility, is what I’d like to say. but I doubt you’re even American.

Who dealt with the French after the war?

Russia is helping to just now free the Sahel.

Doesn’t change the fact that it’s awesome that they mass-murdered Nazis and their collaborators.

I acknowledge the problematic aspects of France’s history. There isn’t a single world power that didn’t have problematic, exploitative aspects of their history either, so pretending France is unique in that respect is a tad silly. And, by all means, hate them for it. Totally cool by me.

I know you’re well meaning and all, but that’s revisionist to say the least. The Soviet Union executed Nazi Germans and their collaborators in the hundreds of thousands.

Half of all Holocaust victims were Soviet citizens because it wasn’t directed just at minorities like Jews and Roma. Nazis were trying to exterminate all Slavs. They depopulated large swaths of the Ukraine.

When Ukrainian soldiers wear SS insignias it has a lot more personal meaning to Russians.

would have been great to kill some nazis, but the commies have killed and raped everyone.
