Totally, me making a correct point contrary to OP is downtalking the feminist movement.
Artist, musical performer, and former derby skater from the Midwest.

That said I do think it would be silly to run another female candidate with this electorate,
I disagree. There was a ton of reporting on people who voted strongly for AOC and also for Trump.
The problem isn’t nominating a woman. The problem is you nominate shitty women who lack authenticity and also run shitty campaigns, like wasting three months telling a largely poorer American people to be joyful unironically.
I despise the Clintons, and I’m not convinced things would be significantly improved, having watched Obama and Biden enthusiastically embrace fascism and genocide. Hell, under Biden homelessness exploded and food started becoming cost-prohibitive.
But the point remains: can’t really claim misogyny for Clinton losing the election when she received more votes than Donald.
Yes, and that actually works against the point you think you’re making, because the female candidate received more votes.
Correlation does not equal causation.
You’re ignoring that Hillary Clinton won the popular vote, a fact that people who cry ‘misogyny’ also tend to ignore.
Most people have been trained from a young age to value convenience over basically everything else.
This is the deal. Yes. People, at least here in the US, equate personal liberty with convenience; which is why you saw people willing to kidnap governors over being forced to wear a facemask, or attacking Red Lobster employees for being slow in bringing another basket of cheese biscuits.
Also why dead kids aren’t enough to get real progress on gun control.
I think when these tariffs really roll downhill and the supply chain is reconfigured within the next two years, the real and permanent impacts of Donald’s cavalier and reckless economic policies will be in full effect.
Teenie weenie murders.
What strikes me about these stories is that the defense is always some flavor of ‘tradition’, but seeing that something like this could entail changes in secular law in order to right an obvious wrong was a nice surprise on a dreary Monday morning.
This is an important point.
When the new trade deals materialize in a year and a half or so, precipitated by the chaos Donald created, the US will find its economic power diminished. The evident unreliability of the US and its governing system is not going to be ignored by the rest of the world when China is waiting in the wings and demonstrating a firm commitment to business.
I appreciate you clarifying.
This is more like about people accepting what’s given, and not even trying to do more. We all are a failure.
I don’t know how often you get out into the world, but I run into people doing little pieces of good all the time. Those little pieces of good don’t grab headlines, but for most, that’s all the power they really have to make change. The same was true in Nazi Germany, with many people whose names didn’t survive (because they couldn’t give their real names) doing little pieces of good to help save lives.
You’re welcome to your misanthropic and self-critical views, but respectfully, I won’t have that put on me. If you feel like a failure in this fascist world, it’s time to find the little pieces of good you’re able to do on your block.
I’ve never donated, as this is Israel, and they’re killing people who try to get aid in. I’m pretty sure the money goes nowhere.
You can’t put this on me.
I’m powerless to do anything meaningful to stop this, and you are too unless you’re the president of the United States or a billionaire. At the very least, I didn’t vote for the two ruling parties who made it all possible, but most can’t say that. For 99% of voters, supporting genocide wasn’t a red line.
Marriage is punishment for shoplifting in some countries.
This isn’t the brilliant defense you think it is.
Oh, cool.
I’m glad he got to perform a final time before he bit it.
Shocked.
Just shocked… that a wartime partner of the United States would demonstrate an openness to corrupt, self-enriching governance.

Honestly thought he was already dead.
Wow.
The master race is decidedly unimpressive, I agree.
Sure, Jan. Have a pleasant Sunday afternoon.
