“Mr Shitnugget, the BBC wants you to…”

“Bubba wants me? I like the BBC. Slurpy slurps on that meaty bad boy.”

“No, the company that you are frivolously suing wants to …wait you still don’t know what I’m talking about do you?”

    “Yea…Yes, of course…but let’s just say I don’t.”

“FFS, dumb cunt, the British broadcasting corporation. You are suing them, remember?”

    “Mmm mmm, bubba.”

“Oh FFS. Anyways they want you to appear in court. It’ll mostly just be you sitting down and scowling trying to look tough even though you’re an old fat useless feeble cunt that can hardly walk and are about as menacing as a fluffy sock.”

“I can do that. I’m in.”

“You won’t be able to fall asleep or shit yourself.”

    “I’m out!”

I love the fact that his lawsuit is also highlighting the fact of how unfair it is for individuals to have to fight corporations which Republicans don’t give a shit about.

For Trump to sit during the deposition, but who from BBC has to attend? Hired lawyers.

Same thing for if Walmart were sued or Amazon. Would the CEO need to sit during the court proceedings as well? Nah, they are shielded. Just the person using a giant corporation.

Trump is suing for $10bn, alleging massive financial, reputational damage caused by this thing no-one watched. It is the BBC’s right to question him on this.

The relevant journalists and editors from the BBC would have had to sit for deposition as well

I really hate that that comment is getting upvoted.

People love to hate on things a lot more than they like to understand how things actually work.

To make your point more explicit, CEOs often don’t have to sit for depositions because they legitimately aren’t the people who know the facts the cases turn on. When the CEOs are the right ones to talk to, courts don’t hesitate to make them show up.

Don’t get me wrong, I hate big corporations plenty. Don’t get me started about Meta or Microsoft. But can we please hate them for actually good reasons instead of making reasons to hate them up?

And when he refuses and they carry on without him he will prove yet again that he is above the law while no one does shit about it.

He’ll sooner drop the whole thing because he can’t be fucked to show up for anything like this. He’s accustomed to his lawyers taking care of everything and only having to sign something here and there.

His lawyers already argued that he has National Security issues he needs to deal with so that’s why he can’t show up. He sure is milking that National Security excuse of all its got.

The BBC should ask the lawyers how Trump can have time to play golf when all these national security issues that he is responsible for creating are preventing him from showing up in person.

And if that isn’t enough he will just create some new national security issues to add to the pile.

If it seems odd that he constantly has National Security issues he needs to deal with, it makes more sense when you realize that he is the National Security issue he needs to deal with.

But … he’s very, very busy being President of the United States of America! His time is not his own! He has to compose ‘truth’ social rants, and nod off during meetings, and talk about himself at his pep rallies, and stuff his face with McDonalds, and cheat at golf …
