what happens when it’s all gone?
Glaciers can be important for drinking water and for keeping rivers filled with water. They need to melt for that though, so melting is good. When it’s gone there is no more melting, so that’s not good.
The mountains are made of stones frozen in place. Remove the ice and snow and you get landslides, mudslides and generally unstable terrain.
