FML! It was well over 90 degrees farenheits last week and the flies were BITING!

I got nailed several times by one of the fuckers in my car until it escaped out the window.

It was just a regular black housefly. I had no idea they could bite. Like a needle stabbed into me.

At least the mosquito is relatively painless.

    Fuck biting houseflies.

Most likely a stable fly. House flies have sponge like mouth parts for soaking up liquid and are incapable of biting.

I had never heard of stable flies before. Here we have horse flies that are apparently similar but not the same species as stable flies.

At work we get deer flies. Bites can be described as feeling like getting stabbed with a serrated needle. Shirts, DEET, jeans, don’t matter. They need blood to reproduce and they’re horny enough to find a way through it all.

And they’re smart enough to always go behind you.

Both are pollinators so I guess this is somewhat true, also mosquitoes are crepuscular but they are also active during rainy or cloudy days, maybe moreso if humidity is higher.

I like sleeping in the cold during winter, but you have to put so much more effort into going outside or you get sad.
