But professors are very often doctors, because they often have extensive research lines. And it helps a lot to have a PhD to get funding and it opens up jobs and other opportunities in scientific research.
Yep, a PhD will definitely make you evil; but it’s worth that alignment hit. You just ride it out and work your way back to chaotic neutral by becoming a professor.
