How can a US president betray “Israelis”. He’s not their president, and America is not their mommies. We owe them exactly nothing. They should get off our tit, and we’d like all the nuclear materials they stole from us returned immediately.

Without the large amount of material and monetary support America provides to keep Israel’s military the strongest in the region, they would get steamrolled by their neighbors. Probably not immediately, but it would be inevitable. Note that I’m not saying anything about whether this is right or wrong from any ethical point of view in any direction, simply that it absolutely would happen. For whatever reason it has consistently been the policy of the American government not to let this happen.

Israel’s very existence as a modern state has been, shall we say, deeply unpopular with its Arab neighbors literally since day one.

You could have been the greatest president of all

    No, he couldn’t have

    You betrayed us, the Israelis.

I realize I don’t necessarily speak for all of my fellow Americans when I say this, but I could not possibly care less if Israelis feel betrayed by Trump. He’s not your president, it’s not your government, go fuck yourselves.

I find myself asking this question more and more… But not just the US. How the fuck does Israel have so much power over so many countries. Like just look at the UK and how they’re treating anyone even protesting for Palestine. It’s insane how much power they have over so many countries… I just don’t understand how.

The Holocaust was real, and it’s important to not forget atrocities because as we can see we slip back into them very quickly.

My main issue with HOW the Holocaust lives in the modern western conscious is that it drowns out plenty of other genocides, from the Armenian genocide and the Bengal famine up to more recent ones in Gaza and the Congo. It’s ridiculous to compare genocides as if they can be distilled to a number and compared, but the framing of the Holocaust as worse than the other genocides is so counterproductive to developing the empathy necessary to prevent this kind of thing in the future.

I mean the Holocaust literally happened and Europe and they’re full of racism against romani and recent migrants. People shit on the USA for having a checkered past but at least we know about it. The number of brits who don’t even know about their atrocities in Ireland, their backyard, is nuts. That’s not even counting what happened in their colonies. I talked with a Belgian once who wasn’t aware of how bad their colony in the Congo was.

We should be milking it more. And some people are.

Because what’s happening in Gaza isn’t much different. Slightly less organized. Equally inhumane and unhuman.

100 percent agree. It was a propaganda plan from the very beginning.

US wanted a “friend” in the middle east to ensure access to oil. And used holocaust guilt to push it to the people back home.

No, thats BS – trying to blame the Us for zionisms crimes. The Nakba wasnt a US invention and that happened right after ww2. Zionism is not America’s fault and does not benefit America at all. Its pure cost and always has been. America already has better friends in the middle east to access oil. It does not need anything from Israel at all-- not commerically, strategically, diplomatically, and things would be smoother oil-access wise if Israeli religious terrorists werent present in the region. We’re there because zionists have money. Some of which we gave them.

And it’s disappointing that the Dems are scared of doing without the election funding.

I get it. It’s understandable that they don’t trust voters to look past name recognition and ads. But… I still think it’s a bad call. Being beholden to Israel isn’t worth it, even if it makes us more likely to lose elections.

Call your Dems. Tell them you want transparency in funding, even if it is AIPAC.

Dems as a party could make a big show of rejecting AIPAC altogether and returning all the money. That’d buy them more publicity and goodwill than ads can buy. At least the next cycle.

Good question, but it’s important to note that they only have as much power as they do because they’re being allowed to do so by the US political establishment. It’s not like Israel is writing US foreign policy in the Middle East from the ground up; US foreign policy just happens to be close enough to what Israel wants to do that that’s what it looks like. That’s the base on top of which the blackmail, money and religion are acting, as evidenced by how none of those factors would ever make America act like this with, say, China.

Sorry man. But EVERYTHING I’ve seen about Netanyahu is just BLOODLUST! They totally leveled Gaza and the Palestine territories they occupied.

    THIS IS NOT THE WAY!

I used to be a trump and Israel supporter, but my God! How much blood thirst is enough?

    Nope. Nope. Nope. Nope.

When the orange Cheeto lost to Biden and approved the execution of Pence, (“so what”) that was the end. This worthless sore loser POS was hell bent on mass destruction.

No dipshit, you don’t deserve the Nobel Peace Prize, or to put your name or image on passports, park passes, or $250 bills. No, stupid, we don’t want or need to see your ugly mug or name on the Kennedy center or federal buildings.

You have made America a much worse place, you divisive fuck head!
