I thought they were more common than they are apparently!

I think the pretense of bikini was left by the wayside almost immediately when these types of coffee stands came around haha
Never around that particular coworker lol
Had a middle-aged coworker that I carpooled with occasionally when I was younger. Totally chill for the most part, we left early in the morning and generally just listened to the radio quietly.
He offered to get me coffee while we were on the road one day. Pulled into a bikini barista drive-thru. The gal working asked if I was his daughter.
I didn’t carpool with him after that lol
It was inspired by a mix of Seattle/Tacoma and Brooklyn/New York, so yeah no city quite lives up to it. There are parts that feel close in both places though.
Men feel entitled to speak about women’s appearances all the fucking time.
Sitting around and talking about how sad this woman’s face is because it doesn’t make your dick hard is pathetic.
Have the day you deserve :)
Are you looking to be offended by my stance here? Smh, you want to be a victim of my feminism so bad, don’t you?
I think it’s rude to comment on people’s faces and especially so when men decide to comment publicly on a woman’s face to the point of using AI to alter her image to further disparage her.
If you went up to someone and told them you thought it was sad that they got plastic surgery and you think they ruined their face, you really don’t think that would be rude to do?
Oh no, someone thinks I’m cringe on the internet? I’m devastated.
I think it’s pathetic that a bunch of men on Lemmy chose to post and comment on a woman’s face and talk about how sad it is that she “ruined herself”.
Yeah it’s so sad when women aren’t attractive to men, isn’t it?
So, so sad.
Hahahaha yeah yeah, you first, my dude. I’m sure you’ve never done ANYTHING that you regretted or was influenced by outside pressures.
I’m just so thrilled that all the Lemmy users here are making fun of a woman’s face. It’s such a good use of your time and energy.
Certainly choosing to be respectful of how another person looks would be doing the hard thing?
Almost like it’s incredibly hard to not succumb to societal pressures of anti-aging especially when you’re in the public.
Gotta make sure women know that they’re considered ugly when they age /s
I hear ya! I try to stay active enough in general throughout the year for health and vanity reasons myself. Just not interested in piling on extra self-loathing for summer alone haha
I’ve got a body and it’s going to be summer. It’s perfect :D
Humans are pretty bad at communication and there are a bunch of different ways a joke like that could have landed and it’s all dependent on the people involved.
One person’s joke to gently point out that their kid is probably grabbing too much stuff can easily be another person’s brusque and dismissive comment about their kid being lazy.
I’m sorry that your feelings were hurt by your mom.
Nah you were being snarky and you know it.
Are you seriously asking for evidence on this? That some work should be done meticulously and some work can be done quickly and that it can be situational?
Really?
They literally provide two examples on quality of work vs time spent on work before the song link.

Are you conflating rage comics with the entirety of the internet?
