Cause I put minced garlic in the tomato sauce. Seems more natural and also keeps the spice rack smaller.

i’ve got garlic salt, garlic powder, minced garlic, whole garlic, and a ginger garlic paste. granted, my spice rack is two shelves in the cabinet and another drawer, and an entire shelf in the fridge.

Damn, that’s a lot of space just for spices. Tbh, I wouldn’t get those even if I had the space because I haven’t yet found a recipe in which fresh garlic isn’t better than the alternatives, but that might just be me not knowing how to use them. I would find other things to fill up that space with, tho xD

we’ve got three adults here who all cook well and have our own strong opinions. the spice cabinet was originally just one shelf but it has expanded as we picked up more styles of cooking. the drawer is my private stash, the second shelf is my wife’s, the fridge shelf is mostly mustards and sauces but you know.

Fair enough. Sounds great! And yeah, if we’re counting sauces and stuff… I’m probably using almost as much space as you are, now that I think about it better.
