The best game of bowling I ever played was on 200ug of LSD. It does seem to activate your sensory experience in ways that give you greater ability sometimes.

The hard part is having it do that consistently. I strongly believe that research into lysergimides could lead to the discovery of a variation that makes you more coordinated and creative without the hallucinogenic effects.

Best game of counterstrike I ever played was while coming up on acid.

I remember it so well because there came a point where the acid became too much and my death was visceral and I fell from my chair.

And 17 year old prettybunnys dad ran up stairs to make sure the crash and scream he’d heard wasn’t me actually dying.

Anyways, yeah … for a brief window I feel more lucid than ever.

Oh man, when I was just getting into acid I took a tab one Saturday morning and watched Fellowship of the Ring Extended in the frat living room. Felt like watching a DnD campaign. As it was ending one of the guys and his friend I hadn’t met walked in setting up tables and their PCs. I asked what was going on and he was like “Jaycifer, today is the LAN party, did you forget?”

I had, I played Quake III for the first time that evening. I had never really played a boomer shooter before, but that was one of the most intense multiplayer experiences I’ve ever had. I got my hands on a rocket launcher and I swear I had a sixth sense for knowing where someone was going to be to blow them up. I’m not normally one to trash talk, but I talked so much shit throwing out “get pwned” and “git gud.” It was so awesome!

There is mild historical proof that that early humans consumed grains contaminated with ergot (what lsd is derived off)on purpose before hunting.

The theory is that it gave them hightend senses to spot animals. In stoned ape theory this coincided with the beginning of creating language and art.

Yeah i don’t recommend taking that guys word on it.

I was careful with my wording for a reason.

The concept has some merit though, just leave it to actual scientists to verify such.

Ny times article from 1 week ago: https://www.nytimes.com/2026/09/09/science/scientists-discover-the-earliest-evidence-of-drug-use-in-really-old-teeth.html

“Human use of psychoactive plants, in particular, was a lot more common in the ancient past than we can appreciate at the moment,” said Adam Brumm, a professor of archaeology in the Australian Research Center for Human Evolution at Griffith University who led the study.“I think it was probably a very deeply rooted aspect of human behavior,” he added.

Dr. Brumm and his colleagues unearthed the jawbone and teeth of the ancient forager in 2017 at a cave called Leang Bulu Bettue. Although Sulawesi is home to the oldest known rock art in the world, dating back some 67,000 years, the discovery of the bones was the first time any skeletal remains of prehistoric humans had been found on the island.

Definitely. I think it is really telling that the only description the CIA has for LSD is “sensory enhancement” and nothing about impairment. You’re experiencing hyper reality, not fictional reality.

Yea. It’s called SSRIs. I feel like I just got off a 6 hour mushroom trip constantly. But LSD does have a special sensory/tingly effect that’s really nice.

I’ve been on them before, and unfortunately they don’t have that effect for me. They made me a little zombified, honestly, but I imagine it depends a lot on your biology.
