My only problem with “backed down” is that he says a lot all the time, but what he does or not does is completely different. He hasn’t actually taken any action against Greenland, just talked about it. (That company that was going to drill is, as far as I can tell, not related to the Trumps in any meaningful way)
So not that I disagree with you per se, but… Iran he has actually attacked, although not invaded (ground troops).
