I just had a recruiter come to me with a post that required 10 years experience for a tech that only has existed for 10 years. So I just asked them, the response was I don’t know. like through some copy paste of another listing, the number was never changed. If they were not a large reputable company, I would have passed.
yea most of those listings types , the recruiters are lazy and just copy and past verbatim from another one, and change it slightly. also some times the company themselves pressure the HR or recruiter to “hire close to senior experience , for lower level jobs”
In the mean time I have been unemployed for 20 months and I have 15 years of experience. Nobody is getting hired right now. It’s nuts.

Pick yourself up by your boot straps and work harder. And get out there with a shirt, tie, and a firm handshake and let people know you want to work for them

Big corporate uses AI tools and job boards. Small business want to look you in the eye and decide if they want to hang with you for 40 hours of every week of their lives.

Can confirm. All of my local business jobs were gotten by talking directly to the owner. This is easiest with production jobs where they’re already used to talking directly with the customer.
Most small production jobs can train someone to be useful in just a day or two and can teach the rest over time. It’s not as much of an impossible idea as it’s made out to be, but this strategy will almost never work in a place where the owner or at least production manager isn’t used to talking to the customer.
And remember, the best way to show you are dedicated is to get down on your knees and do some fancy tricks with your mouth.
If you are getting this, you’re probably applying to the wrong jobs. You want to look for entry level jobs, which still exist though they’re becoming rarer.
Like you said, entry level jobs are rare. So they get a ton of replies. Only one can be the lucky one and it’s probably the guy with 3 years experience who couldn’t find a medior-level job.
