Just an fyi to US people. Gas prices will stay around what they are right now until after the November. At that point the emergency reserves the US has been using up to keep fuel prices lower will be too low to keep using to supplement pricing, and the old orange guy will blame Democrats taking over in the midterms for the prices going up.
The prices will go up quite a lot, and this will in turn once again provide a reason and excuse for all other costs on things like food to also go up.
In other words, shit is going to get even worse while under this government and in this bullshit war.

I’m being speculative on everything besides the oil reserves keeping costs down and that supplies of our emergency reserves are being used up. At the current rate of loss, there’s another 11 or so months total left before hitting empty, and the US absolutely will not let the emergency reserves go to empty.
As to the speculative bits: The US government is a pretty easy book to read at this point. Trump has the logic of a ten year old and his base is nothing but sheep with short memories. The oil reserves HAVE to stop getting used, and Trump always blames anyone else for anything bad that happens. So when the oil prices don’t get subsidized, prices will go up, and he will say it’s all the Democrats fault. Then of course more expensive fuel means more expensive transport costs for goods, which means your cost of your favorite cookies that was packaged 4 states over is also going to cost more.

Does Trump want Ukraine to win or lose? The war has to end now. This is what Europe should propose to Putin. Russia will withdraw from all land it seized from Ukraine after the 2022 invasion. NATO would be dissolved and replaced with a European alliance. Ukraine and Canada would be permitted to join but not the US. All sanctions against Russia will be lifted. Russia will not be required to pay reparations. If Putin doesn’t accept the proposal, the UK and France would send troops to Ukraine.
If USA gives a bunch of patriot defense to Ukraine, I’m sure Ukraine will listen. If USA comes empty handed, not much reason to do anything Vance asks.
