Try deep fried pickles then come back.
Pickled food tastes like ass.
How double dear you

Come at me bro. Your preservation method can suck my salted fish.
Anything but sweet pickles. Those things are a fuckin war crime.
Sweet pickles (bread and butter is the other name I think?) are the only ones my father in law made which always made my husband sad lol. He only loves dill ones!
Yes, if i wanted candy I’d get candy. I went for a pickle, so give me salty, sour, and maybe spicy and herbal, but not sweet
And yeah bread and butter are too sweet
Nah, those fuck. Stop playin.
I like pickles, but never see the point in getting them because sauerkraut, and kimchi, are better.
Excuse me but bottom left ist just cucumber
Well a cucumber is just a premature pickle. Just wait until it gets thru puberty
Never seen a whole pickle at the deli?
Y’all know you can pickle more than cucumbers right
I crave spicy pickled green beans and carrots from time to time. I also make my own malted onions and white vinegar pickled onions. They’re so amazing on sourdough with scrambled eggs and kippered fish.
I also do spicy, pickled green beans!
Pickled cucumbers are so good, they’re the only item that gets to be called “pickles.” Everything else is “pickled whatever.”
Or maybe it’s because “gherkin” sounds absolutely disgusting and we don’t want to call them that.
I only hate sweet pickles. Gimme the zesty dills all damn day. 🤤
I don’t really care for dills much unless they’re our good homemade dills, and even then i really only like them on their own, not in/on things.
Sweet pickles are my favorite (especially baby sweets OMG) but my partner says sweet pickles are too much of a pain in the ass to make at home. She makes batches of “bread and butter” slices which are really good, but not the same. Sadly I have to go store bought for my sweet pickle fix.
Her hot & spicy pickles are petty bomb too.
Whole baby dills are my favorite. I think the brand I like best is also fermented?
Anyway, I went on a bit of a pickle bender quite some time ago, bought all sorts of pickles to find my favorite. I somehow wound up with 2 open jars and 1 unopened, all of my favorite. After some time had passed, the jars that had been open began developing some stuff on the sides of the jar above the water line. Since they’re fermented to begin with, and the brine is supposed to be cloudy I imagine it’s totally normal and still safe to eat, but it’s weirded me out, and now they’ve been sitting in my fridge for over a year because I feel guilty throwing them away until I know for sure, and I can’t open the third jar knowing I already have 2 open jars.
Edit: I took some pictures. I think one is likely safe, the other likely mold?
Safe?

Mold?

I’m going to hold your hand while I say this, in the gentlest tone of voice possible. QualifiedKitten, please throw out those terrifying jars of pickles.
HAHAHAHA! I know, I know, I’m getting a lot of my food from the food bank lately, so I feel extra terrible about throwing food away. I hadn’t really looked closely at them until taking those pictures today, and I already tossed the second one. Since they’re fermented, white sediment is normal and expected, but I just don’t know if that’s what I’m seeing at the top of the first jar, or if it’s something else.

commercial pickles make my stomache really fucked up but home made is fine. I suspect corporate greed and ‘generally recognized as safe’
Why you fighting? that just means more pickles for you.
Cheap pickles are floppy and have no crunch. They suck. Good firm crunchy pickles though… yeah that’s the stuff.
Pick… ing a fight?
Fuck pickles, unless they are on a Cuban sandwich then they’re chill.
then they’re
chdillI would not fuck pickles
But would you let a pickle fuck you?
Is this Loss somehow? Or am I going crazy?
