That’s not a good thing to do to your children
This is why my mum doesn’t even know how much I earn.
Or how you earn it. Or where you live. Or your real name.
I’m pretty sure she has some idea of his real name.
You would, but you might be surprised…
I can’t buy expensive stuff because my mum will criticise me.
I’ve had to lie and say my new computer was £200 rather then the £2k it really cost
$20 is $20.
I have a sister like this, so i feel this lesson here is choose what you share. For me, tell her when you want people to know, but tell her its a secret so she stews on it then posts it to facebook for the world to see. I’ve been strategic about it, helps the process.
The very first person I came out as trans to was my sister while playing Minecraft. The next day, my dad wanted to have a talk….
About Minecraft…right, right?
Also mom: I wonder why <offspring> never tells me anything anymore
That hit hard.
Oh yeah. My mom is a big fan of the ol’ “Don’t tell anyone I told you this, but…”
And I always say: “If you’re not supposed to be telling me, then don’t.”
Add in the neighbors, coworkers, angry cashiers, and any random person she can talk to for more than 30 seconds, and you’ve got my mother.
Remember kids, a secret isn’t a secret once two people know.
