Meanwhile my computer has an orange glowing waifu AIO water cooler that I got on sale. I want it to glow Necron green but it’s stuck on the same orange as an APA helmet visor from Fallout 2.

Is there even anyone who keeps it on rainbow mode?

It is mainly to show off all the possible colours when displayed in the shop.

At home, users just choose one colour for everything.

Uhh…I just keep it on rainbow mode because I’m lazy and it looks cool. Don’t lump me in with these “users” you speak of

I’m the same. My peripherals aren’t led but my case fans and ram all have rainbow cycling whatever going on. If I wasn’t too lazy to turn them off I’d prefer that but I also think they’re pretty so it’s not like it bothers me in any way.

Good luck buying a non-lit one. Even if you build yourself they charge extra for darkness

      they charge extra for darkness

That’s deep. Ignorance and hate does incur a high cost.

My previous PC I tried to find the best form factor PC case with no RGB, completely ignoring looks, and pretty much the only option on NewEgg was the dirt cheap entry level case.

My current PC I ended up paying a premium for this baby. It’s sexy as hell and I love it, who needs RGB.

really? do nzxt and Corsair toss RGB into everything now?

I haven’t bought a case in a few years now, I think the last one I bought was an NZXT h440? just white light. unless it’s RGB and I never set it up and then forgot about it lol

Just get stuff that lets you control the colors.

Although I can also just turn it off, my mobo is set to adjust based on heat so I can tell if it is on at a glance.

My keyboard is set to white light so I can see the keys in the dark.

Yes, it is weirdly cheaper with RGB in a lot of cases.

Can’t say I agree - I recently built a small server with the cheapest of everything and just stuff I had lying around and the only light on the whole thing is the led on the Ethernet port lol. I think the case and fans were about 50 Euros all in all.

Sure, but it’s still in a regular mATX case and uses normal desktop PC hardware.

            Different target groups.

            • Aldi-PC: non-IT people, CAD engineers, photoshop-wizards
            • Small server hardware (or salvaged Aldi-PC parts): hobbyists, semi-professionals
            • Big server hardware (racks, 40’000 $ boards, 100 cm² CPUs): professionals
            • Gaming hardware (bling bling): mostly teens. And a few patient gamers.

ACKSCHUALLY it was Nintendo that turned me gay. But I can confirm, I’m a PC gamer, and I am a gay.
