War has always been ongoing to be honest.
I was born in the early 80s in a relatively politically litterate family and I don’t remember ever a time when there wasn’t a couple of major conflicts.
Yeah I think I have the same experience looking back. I remember my grandparents insisting on watching the news like three times a day, and when one broadcast ended they quickly switched over to the other channel to catch the end of that broadcast. And each and every weather forecast.
I remember my grandmother moaning about things going on, like so and so many people were killed today in an attack on igifrifivonpfkemmkgda
She’d go “oh no 😭 the children, oh no” and I’d just be there 5 years old like 🤷♂️ what’s the big deal
