i do sometimes want to listen to podcasts, but then they have ads and when i miss something because I’m paying attention to something else i need to rewind a few seconds, which is very user unfriendly. nowadays a lot of podcasts have transcripts, but it’s not always the case that the client supports them. all in all a very annoying tech just to hear some white guys discover foreign culture (which is what it seems to me like what most podcasts are like). i did find some value in history podcasts a few years ago, but they’re probably not at all rigorous and don’t paint an accurate picture. difficult. books are so much more accessible, and can also be read on an ebook reader with a battery life of at least a week.

Podcasts are so exhausting to me. I’ve never been able to take up the habit.

Same happened to me this morning, except it was my phone running out of battery during the night.

Threw my morning routine off COMPLETELY and an hour and a half later, I still feel antsy ☹️

I’m mainly stuck with my own thoughts. I had a 6 hour drive by myself recently without any podcasts or audiobooks. I only had the same 10 song long playlist.

I cannot find a podcast I can stick with, and my thoughts won’t shut up long enough for me to concentrate on audiobooks.

Maybe that means you need to give your thoughts an opportunity to be heard and fully analyzed
