After a bitter rift with Donald Trump left many in Ukraine fearing that the US president had swung behind Russia again, President Volodymyr Zelensky addressed the dispute head on: there’s nothing personal between me and Trump, he told CNN, but cozying up to Vladimir Putin would only “make him stronger.”

Ties between the US and Ukraine have badly deteriorated in recent weeks.

Zelensky said Trump was “on the wrong side of history” after he announced a deal to buy Russian fuel, upending international efforts to isolate Russia. Trump then waived some sanctions against Russia, drawing criticism even from his own party. Ukraine’s forces found their access to the Elon Musk-run Starlink service restricted.

Speaking to CNN from Kyiv on Thursday, Zelensky took a conciliatory tone, saying the tensions were “not about personalities” – but warned that Putin had no intention of stopping the war.

You must be joking, but just in case.

Circassian Genocide: The Russian Empire’s conquest during the Caucasian War involved mass killings, village burnings, and the forced displacement of up to 97% of the Circassian population, leading to over 1 million deaths and wide-scale exile.

The Holodomor: The Stalinist regime engineered a catastrophic, man-made famine in Ukraine resulting in about 4 million deaths, alongside the suppression of Ukrainian cultural and political figures.

Soviet National Campaigns and Repressions: Under Stalin, the Soviet state executed mass operations like de-kulakisation (impacting 2 million peasants), targeted ethnic purges against minority groups, and the Great Terror.

Deportation of Chechens and Ingush: Operation Lentil involved the brutal, forced deportation of entire Chechen and Ingush populations to Central Asia, resulting in severe loss of life.

Chechnya: Both imperial and modern Russian military actions in Chechnya, including the Chechen Wars, caused massive civilian casualties and atrocities.

Invasion of Ukraine: Russia’s ongoing aggression—marked by child deportations, mass executions, systemic infrastructure targeting, and state rhetoric

Funny, it looks like everything you accuse Ukraine of Russia is also doing. Just how many Russians has Putin gotten murdered now? Half a million! He is fucking genociding his own people and you are cheering him on. Let’s not pretend that you care about human life though, we know better.

Russia is “doing”? You’re citing crimes of the Tsar from the 1800s. The Imperialist Russian party is the opposition to Putin. Fascists like Navalny, Rest In Piss. He called Muslims cockroaches and vermin, attended Imperialist Russian marches. The Nazis in Russia are the OPPOSITION, your ALLIES!

You’re repeating Goebbels’s same regurgitated propaganda, and no one believed it then either.

Watching Chechens stack the corpses of Azov Battalion on the street of Mariupol was my Super Bowl. They had kept a city of 400,000 “waiters” hostage. Its liberation was a historic day in history, and we have the Chechen people partly to thank. They are just one of 190 different ethnic folks who make up a plural society within the Russian Federation. I know you’d like to balkanize it all and have everyone killing each other like Yugoslavia, but that ain’t happening anymore.

Mass executions in Bucha were committed by Azov Battalion, who cleared the city in “Safaris”, killing anyone with a non-combatants’ white cloth or Russian MREs.

The “child abductions” are orphans being reunited with their closest kin, wherever that may be, Ukraine, Russia, Europe, wherever.

You are trying to imply that the state owns children, not their family. Fuck right off with that shit.

The most ignorant people are always the most self assured. Get your head out of your ass.

Don’t worry, I blame all US genocides in history on the current US as well. You don’t get to change leaders and suddenly be absolved of your history. I noticed you conveniently ignoring all the modern day examples. No surprise there.

I never said a word about the opposition parties in Russia. Not sure why you are bringing this up, but perhaps it is a topic you are more comfortable with rather than confronting the mass slaughter of your countrymen, brothers, and sisters over Kremlin lies. It is clear you don’t care about human life at all.
