For real, people try their absolute hardest to be miserable, instead of trying half as hard to be not miserable.

We all get it, shit kinda sucks now. Talk about other stuff sometimes.

it’s a contest. also why people on social media make up every more elaborate nonsense to be miserable about.

and well, it gets rewarded. it gets votes and likes and shares.

i notice the folks who complain the hardest in life are usually also the most privledged and wealthy. on reddit it was always the person who had like the most expensive elaborate life who was the most ‘oppressed’ by society.

like all the weebs here whining about their $3000 gaming PCs now costing $5000 due to RAM/chip prices going up, and then ranting about how they are ‘forced’ to pirate games now because how could they possible pay $20 for a game on sale on Steam, that’s oppression.

yes, they both feel really good.

the problem is self-inflected oppression is socially popular and rewarded, auto erotic asphyxiation is considered shameful and weird.

used to be that self-inflected oppression was weird and shameful, but that was over two decades ago.
