Tjis is my favorite version of this meme.

Search the news for yandex strikes in russia. Bot traffic was 0.4% of previous levels from one article I read.
It has been a tactile absence.
Is that also why lemmy seems so peaceful today?
Wonder if it had a measurable effect on .ml traffic…
Nobody tell lemmy.ml
half of them are gone…
Who?
We’re halfway there then.
Tell them? They are the ones that just got bombed. They pretty much knew before just about anyone else.
Now if they can just work on the other half
We have data centers at home.
Appreciate you sharing the news. I never go there, so i would have never known. Maybe you could not go there soon yourself OP? No worries if not, its your life afterall.
Targetting these is genuinely a viable wartime strategy as Russia projects it’s influence heavy through propaganda and other digital initiatives in other nations.
Yeah, especially this close to elections…

Don’t worry, Trump will get the Russians back online soon.
Wait, what? Twitter still exist???
I’m not sure if this is a “It’s called X guys” comment or a “That pile of dogshit is still online?” comment. And my upvote/downvote depends on that
It’s No 2. In every context.
I assume it’s the second option
Par que no los dos?

seems organic

WanderWisely originally posted it and GFL thought it was good enough to repost. What’s the issue here?
Personally the issue I have is that this is what crossposting is for. Posting it over and over just takes up more space on servers that are largely paid for by donations.
Crossposting unfortunately doesn’t always work (many communities restrict it for example), and many clients still don’t support it properly
I’m not sure why a community would do that, like are there any that restrict voting? It’s a fundamental part of the platform.
If we waited until everybody was ready for every feature we would never get any features. I’m really not sure that “third party apps aren’t finished yet” is an argument against using a feature of the platform.
I’ve seen multiple communities that enforced the no crosspost rule.
And by “apps not supporting it well” I don’t just mean visually but the fact that there’s no cross-post option/button. If someone uses such a client, they’re simply unable to use the feature even if they want to.
Then why didn’t you start with that much more reasonable goal-post?
Huh? I think you need to pay better attention to user names.
Yeah fair enough, you kinda tagged in to their side.
Good thing there’s no reposts on lemmy.
I mean to a certain extent I don’t mind it if the result is reddit losing money.
Is it though? How can we tell?
Yeah are we forgetting that Russians exist?
Coincidence?
Maybe!
Probably not, though 🤷🏻
