Sharing a religion/ethnic background with a monster should not get an innocent person blamed on their behalf. There is a legitimate problem with antisemitism rising around the world and unfortunately it plays right into Israel’s hands (which is why Netanyahu is perfectly happy to work with obvious antisemites like Hungary’s recently ousted Orban). If people act like jerks to random Jews in other countries and make them feel unsafe, Israel is more than happy to be there to step in while they’re down and tell them come immigrate and be in the empowered majority of society. Such migrations power up Israel with more manpower, taxes and a strengthened Jewish demographic in Israel.
The “Israel represents the Jewish People” mental association has been heavilly pushed by Israel, lots of Jewish Associations, lots of Jewish people (certainly it feels like most of them in the US, UK and Israel), all of the mainstream Press and Politicians in Anglo-Saxon Western nations and a large part of the Press and Politicians in non-Anglo-Saxon Western countries.
Worse, there has been a constant political push in the West of a racialized view of human beings, by both the openly right-wing Neoliberals and Fascists and by the make-believe-Left-but-really-Neoliberals, each “side” with their own variant of identity politics (one very overtly Racist starting with their anti-immigration discourse, the other doing what they call “positive” racial discrimination, such as the assumption that all Jews are implicitly “victims” due to the past victimization of a large fraction of them by the NAZIs and thus that all people who happen to be Jewish should be seen in a better light and treated better than non-Jews merelly due to their ethnicity), which just reinforced looking at those who are Jewish as first and foremost members of a specific ethnicity whose traits and worth derive from their ethnicity (i.e. the Racist view of people) rather than as individuals whose traits and worth are individual and not related to ethnicity (i.e. the Humanist view of people).
This forced, relentless pushing of hyper-racialization of how we in the West view, judge and treat other human beings, specifically in this case the one around members of the Jewish People, just reinforced the brainwashing of the masses into seeing people who are Jewish as defined by being Jews and thus judged and treated based on being a member of that ethnicity rather than as human being who happen to be from the Jewish ethnicity and which should be judged like every other human being on their own individual words and actions independently of ethnicity.
So, guess what, when there is a relentless pressure into brainwashing people into believing that ethnicity determines the worth of a person and that a fucking nation state can represent an entire ethnicity, many if not most people will end up believing that said nation state represents said ethnicity and that said ethnicity defines the character of the people in it, from where it naturally follows in the minds of those people that the actions of that nation state reflect the character of those people - that link which was created to make people treat Israel better because of the past victimization of Jews also works in the other direction and when Israel mass murderers children because they’re Palestinian it leads people whose minds have been brainwashed into linking worth and expectations on individual human who happen to be Jewish all the way to Israel, to judge all Jews for such despicable, extremely violent and downright evil actions of Israel.
In other words, the very people who are now alarmed about anti-semitism are the ones who cultivated in others or took advantage of the mindset of mentally tagging people who happen to be Jews as Jews first and foremost who should be treated better for it and who are represented by the nation state of Israel which it too should be treated better for it. They were fine with all that Racism and Racial Discrimination when it was beneficial for them personally. They’re not find with it as a pathway that also works in the reverse direction linking the disgust of people at the actions of Israel back to them.
Frankly, those people deserve the bed they made for themselves!
The only true victims amongst Jews (so, just looking at Jews, not globally - globally very few of the greatest victims are Jewish) who I see in all this are those who even before never wanted to be treated differently in any way form or shape because of being Jews, even when said “different treatment” could have been beneficial to them - in other words, Humanists who happen to be Jewish, not the Jews who are Racists (“positivelly” or otherwise).
There are plenty of such people around. That said, judging by the numbers of Jews supporting the state of Israel and its actions, they’re a minority of Jews worldwide (just the Jews who support what Israel is doing in Israel plus the ones in the US add up to 54% of all Jewish People).

This is exactly what i meant, and even if the conflation of ethnicity and nation states are a worldwide thing, Israel has been working harder than any other state in the world for many decades to really drive home the point that judaism, jewish ethnicity and Israel are one and the same thing. It was to be expected that people would be pissed at jews in general when Israel commits genocide and deflects any criticism with an accusation of antisemitism.

Whether or not someone is a “true victim” who “deserves the bed they made” or not, antisemitism is still counterproductive to the cause of a free Palestine in either case since it encourages Jews to go to Israel. If antisemitic behavior against even an outright Israel supporting Zionist who you consider to deserve it is the final straw that pushes them far enough to move out of say NYC, London, Melbourne etc. and go to Israel, that’s a failure. Now instead of just sending donations to Israel and talking crap on Facebook or whatever, every single economic action they take in Israel boosts Israel’s GDP, their children will serve in the IDF, Israel is further strengthened and has another anchor and voice to draw in family or friends who want to visit and to tell them to move to Israel.
The point I’m making is that the only moral obligation we have with regards to anti-semitism is to protect the victims of it and in my eyes Jewish persons who were totally fine with Racial Discrimination that favored them and those like them aren’t victims - they’ve been busy manufacturing Racism and Racists for their own benefit, and thus when the moster they themselves fed turns around and bites them, that’s the Find Out stage of their Fuck Around, and similarly Jewish persons who even now support mass murder of civilians who they see as “vermin” because they’re not from “God’s chosen people” aren’t victims, they’re aggressors being punished for their own actions.
Mind you, Zionists who are not Jews, in my eyes are just as much people who support mass murder of civilians who they see as “vermin” because they’re not from “God’s chosen people” and thus are aggressors, hence deserving of punishment - it’s not the ethnicity that makes one an aggressor or a victim, it’s one’s words and actions.
Whilst I totally agree that anti-semitism is not at all a just or fair way for those who deserve it to be made to suffer for their actions, none of the just ways are working because top politicians in most of the West, be it because they’re bought, blackmailed or just idiots, are activelly blocking mechanisms such as sanctions and even a blockade of Israel, so all that’s left is the equivalent of natural forces - the tide that after it goes out, comes back in - and in this case we ended up with what’s essentially the “justice” of the mob, and the mob isn’t fair and proper or even trully just - in its rage against the deeds of a few it irrationally punishes anybody who in any way form or shape is associated with those few, plenty of whom are totally innocent.
I don’t agree with such mechanism and if I had magical powers to change things I would never choose such a mechanism, yet it is as it is, naturally so for the reasons I explained in my previous post, and those who deserve most of the blame for this are those who fed this very monster and used it against others and for their own benefit.
