A two-panel meme.
The top panel shows an NPC character in front of a red “TED” sign saying “organise your time or smth”.
The bottom panel shows a crowd of NPC characters responding with a speech bubble that reads “OMG, life changing”.

I miss when TED talks were actually good and not a mass consumption commodity item. They saw money and stripped the thoughtfulness.
they were never thoughtful. they are just bait for people who want to feel they are thoughtful by consuming them.
sort of like when people think buy a book by a black female author is fighting racism and sexism simultaneously, or paying back some debt they feel they owe. It’s neither, it’s just feelings.
Blanket dismissal of every talk like that is a bit disingenuous. Many may be like that. More now certainly. But the older ones when they were just barely coming out of being a closed doors event solely in Monterey, were decent. Granted it’s been a long time since I watched those so maybe I need a relisten to be sure, but to my recollection they certainly didn’t have the same feel as the recent stuff.
