Which 4 countries?
It’s not called “sideloading”, by the way, it’s called installing software on your own computer.
Indonesia, Brazil, Thailand and Singapore.
But sideloading makes it sound so ominous and even dangerous.
If you listen very carefully, you might hear me sighing deeply at the level of stupidity we all have to live in.
I think the problem is that even when people agree with you there is no specific term for installing apps in the way that will be limited other than the term “sideloading”
So its kinda hard to communicate clearly without using it. But the plays into googles dichotomy between installing the way they want and installing the way they don’t

And is completely correct. They are heavily restricting installation of software to only software they approve of through package managers they approve of.
We should start calling installing an App from the PlayStore “Google-Loading” lmao
