Canada’s PM Carney welcomed the invitation to become the first “associate member” of the European Union, but emphasised that the intent is not to become a full member nor to cede sovereignty.

It will be interesting to see what they will come up with. I guess they could join single market on similar rules as Norway. No idea why they would need to invent a new name for it though.

In addition to a trade deal, I’m almost 100% certain that it’s gonna be a NATO-esque defence treaty, in anticipation of the USA dismantling NATO like they’re constantly talking about.

Unfortunately Canada may be the new Ukraine in the near future if they fully embrace they’re fascists. It’s good we’re finding stronger alliances to cement that we are not a vassal of the US. Maybe it’ll even show their citizens that their direction is off, for enough of them to vote against it anyways. Hopefully they’ll see it as that and not that Canada is trying to be an enemy. Though know their education has sucked to see those lines.

If any similar are reading, we never wanted to be worse off with the US, they have a government that made us so with no provocation. We want to chill and do our thing like most people. We have never even shown aggression just defensive actions in general.

Heaven forbid someone says no to the orange rapist Fuhrer and he makes a mess for the world. Seriously why can one dude fuck up so much worldwide?
