For me my two cats are my adopted children. And there is absolutely nothing I wouldn’t do about them. Yes, they are not human, so what? I love them more than anything, more than myself, they are my everything.
Also, to clarify, I never said I value people more than pets. What I said is that I value my family more than anything. And my cats are my family.

Only if you’re scared of people and of developing actually deep and fulfilling connections. And I say that as a very satisfied “cat dad”!
