For me my two cats are my adopted children. And there is absolutely nothing I wouldn’t do about them. Yes, they are not human, so what? I love them more than anything, more than myself, they are my everything.
Also, to clarify, I never said I value people more than pets. What I said is that I value my family more than anything. And my cats are my family.
Only if you’re scared of people and of developing actually deep and fulfilling connections. And I say that as a very satisfied “cat dad”!
I don’t, but if I was forced to choose I’d pick my cats every single time over any human on this planet.

This is basically asking a parent why they pick their children over someone else. Is there anyone you’d value higher than your children?
