I don’t care a lick who was first, I’m a late adopter of all tech, but it is annoying when Apple users tout new features as if they’re the first to experience them. It’s the condescension that’s annoying, especially when it’s so misplaced

How often is that, really? Seems like more of a meme than anything else. I use their products, and prefer their UI. Is it perfect? Obviously not. But I do enjoy the vertical integration. Handoff just works™. iMessage works well, etc.

There are plenty of features that Android does better, and plenty that it does not. The haters are going to hate regardless.

This meme isn’t the burn that OP thinks it is.

Sure. It is known that Apple shows up late. Users keep buying their products, so they must be doing something right. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I think more often than not it’s more important to be early rather than being exactly the first. Unless you patent it in a way that makes it extremely hard to copy but software doesn’t really work that way a lot of times. Being first barely seems to give you any advantage long term. You just want to be early enough before the network effect takes hold, for example.
