And if heaven is not real, we should focus on the lives we are living.

Any religion that claims a happy afterlife exists is a death cult. “Your baby is in heaven now! Why aren’t you happy?”

The sun is important, but I’m not sure how much we need to understand it. You do need to eat the food that it ultimately provides though. Understanding the food chain is useful but plenty of humans can persist and breed successfully - at least in the short term - with little more than a rudimentary understanding of a very small part of it.

Yup. So you think God and Heaven are naturally quite important so you go to school to specialize in Bible study, and there you learn the Bible is crazy contradictory patchwork written by men serving the needs of their society at the time and that’s all religion ever is, so then you start thinking about how you’re going to make a living and you might decide to leave the church, or you may decide you like the cushy life and don´t mind lying to people every Sunday who are asking you to lie to them, who are paying you to lie to them.

God created the integers, everything else is the work of man*

*Except infinity, which Good invented to punish those who don’t understand math, and reward those who do
