    I 100% agree, because the film spends ridiculously little time with actual characterization. A lot of time with really long “cinematic” shots, though.

      All good stories are about the characters. If you don’t write them to feel like real people, then everything that occurs doesn’t seem to have any grounding in reality. We are meant to find meaning in stories through the characters because events in a sequence have none without a relatable and consistent characters struggling against them.
