I haven’t found a single cola that comes close to coke. Even coke zero tastes horrible comparatively.

      This is obviously very subjective.

Sounds like your taste buds have adapted after years of drinking the same thing

I have the same issue work Aldi’s knock off Red Bull. Even real Red Bull doesn’t taste right anymore

Maybe it will help if you think of “living in a peaceful, sovereign, strong nation” as something you also like, as that is changing too. Then decide how important each thing is to you.

              Its a coke, buddy. Chill.

The dude has clearly already made huge, direct changes to his purchasing to cut out American products. He got 99% of the way there.

No need to shame him with “buying a coke means you dont want a sovereign Canada” type rhetoric because it just makes you and your goal look ridiculous. It reads like “you used a plastic straw so you want to watch the earth burn” level of wacky.

Take the win you already have on this one.

Besides quoting the wrong person, try to bear in mind it doesn’t make sense to argue “it’s a coke buddy, chill” and then argue that it’s somehow a big enough deal to spend time defending.

It’s either “just a coke” or it isn’t. I totally agree. It IS just a coke. That’s exactly my point.

I get it for sure. Coke is good.

But honestly it’s a bit maddening to me if someone can seriously claim it’s too hard to eliminate it/replace it.

Don’t mean to be harsh, but to those people…suck it up?
