I’ve been outside every day this summer, in Saskatchewan, and I love it. I also stopped using AC so a nice day feels great to me, unlike when I used AC and stepping outside felt like a death trap.
Just saying… most people do summer wrong.
It takes several weeks to acclimate. Our summer went from 17 to 35 Celsius (roughly 65 to 95 F) in a week time. It was too much.
Don’t worry, with climate change, winter will be a second cooler summer.
Ten years ago the local school district was already cutting the school year short because they didn’t use up their allotted snow days due to unseasonally warm winters.
Now they just switch to online learning when they close the school, so kids don’t even get to experience snow days at all anymore. The future sucks.
Ain’t nothing better than sitting on a porch baking in 105F heat slamming a cold 40 on a cloudless summer day.
You have to embrace the heat. You have to find joy in the loopiness and haziness.
I hated summer long before it was this unpleasant.
I always enjoyed spring and autumn, winter was ok because if i was cold i could always put something on and be warm but with summer it’s just unpleasant heat.
…eeeeEEEEEeee…EEEEEEEeeeee…eeeEEEEEEËeeee….
-Mosquito of the summerIf you live in an urban area, I can kind of see the argument. All the street festivals, outdoor concerts, etc happen in the summer.
Yeah but I don’t go. Just too tired because of the temperature.
Exactly. All these activities, but it’s too fucking hot to enjoy them.
