    Yep yep!

    CBT has worked very well for me and my ©PTSD… its essentially a westernized version of the core of some Zen practices, sort of.

    And yep, DBT is a sort of variant/evolution of DBT that involves different techniques, different sort of schedule… and apparently uses … essentially ‘stronger’ sort of human hacks, basically, that can bring calm and help build internal structure/stability, via what I’d call funny quirks of human neuro-physiology, as well as basically being a structured space to process older traumas / intense emotions in.

    CBT and DBT are also neat in that they are actually considerably empirically verified to actually work in their use cases, and at least CBT, hell I think nearly anyone who is frequently just stressed out could be helped by learning CBT, being taken through a few rounds of it till you can learn how to do it yourself.
