I have the number off because the number gets really distracting to me. If I need to know the number I’ll pull down the control center or whatever it’s called. It’s rare that the actual number is required though. You’ll know when it’s under half, and when it hits 20.
Looking at the bar right now for example I can tell that it’s gone past its 80% charging limit for whatever reason.

Which i would find extremely helpful lmao – personally number off feels like being on death row with no clue when they’re dragging me to the chair.
The black mirror is when other people can see your number! On a(n even) darker note, I think that’s exactly what they do on death row tbf
