It just dawned on me that Netflix is behaving exactly like Google: https://killedbygoogle.com/. Many of their shows do not survive past season one, so people no longer follow new shows for fear that they will be canceled. Similarly, many people do not trust new Google services for fear that they will be canceled.

Google doesn’t kill services quickly, they kill longstanding services that didn’t gain sufficient traction in their eyes, even if they are well loved by many.
They killed the Tenor API which was very popular and the only reason why people still used Tenor was:
They will for sure kill tenor itselt in a year or 2 because everyone stopped using it
I still miss Google Reader and G+, yes, I did like G+
Google kills lots of products quickly

Used to.
Now they just don’t make anything. They continually twist the screws on what they already have.
Last new Google product I can remember is Stadia.
Anti-gravity maybe is the latest product they made
They make dystopia. It’s very popular.
Kind of like Netflix.
It’s the same thing with Aldi. If it’s not popular enough, it’s just wasting shelf space and needs to go.
