The lesson of all this should be that “vote for me to stop them winning” is a terrible strategy.

The ruling parties love to smear the Greens on this side of the pond too, unfortunately. This fact inspires a chuckle any time I hear a Democrat or Republican talking about ‘democracy’. They’re like American Christians talking about how much they care about religious freedom.

The Greens on the USA side of the pond do a great job of smearing themselves.

Here’s the US Green Party 2024 Presidential candidate Jill Stein having dinner with Vladimir Putin, members of Putin’s senior staff, and self admitted registered foreign agent for the Turkish government, Michael Flynn.

The critical issue with the US greens is their pathetic efforts in local organizing and their overvaluing of the presidency. Instead of trying to build power from the ground up like the DSA, they throw most of their efforts behind doomed campaigns that do nothing for anyone. Besides, the only way a party can win the presidency is by replacing another in the duopoly.

No the entire point of the green party in the US is to siphon left leaning voters from the Democrats.

When you realize this, the green party in the states makes complete sense.

Yup, unless our electoral systems change it’s mathematically impossible for a 3rd party to do anything but spoil.

she went to a dinner hosted by one of the few networks that didn’t try to ice her out of politics, and while she was there, putin sat at the table for a few moments.

she did not have dinner with putin. this is misinformation

You’re looking at the picture. Both Stein and Putin are sitting at the same table. There is food in front of both. Are you claiming the photo is fake? Or are you playing word games where the meal was something like “lunch” instead of “dinner”?

he didn’t eat with them at all. he sat down for a few moments, said nothing to stein, nor she to him, and he got up.

“We can deny votes to Kamala Harris.”

The American Greens are MAGA supporters. Get your head out of your ass.
