The crazy part is its not transmissible via humans, but via rat feces and urine. That ship must be filthy.
This particular strain (Andes) is capable of human to human transmission.
And the original 2 is speculated (idk if confirmed yet) that they were infected before boarding the boat. So it really had nothing to do with the boat and if it was infested.
