It’s the same weirdness when some (usually) Christian Americans think it’s a gotcha when an atheist says “omg”.

I hope they bring that same energy to themselves when they live by the weekdays that were all named after Norse gods or refer to the other planets in the solar system by the names they were given from the Roman gods.

Omg did you just say WEDNESDAY? You believe in Odin, huh?

Okay weird coincidence. I was at a park tonight trying not to mind my own business (there were food trucks) and I was right behind this lady and her son. She kept bugging him that he wasn’t really atheist because he kept saying ‘oh my god’ and he kept saying oh my god mom drop it and they seemed to be having a good time bickering. Anyways I finally had to pipe up “oh your god I think he knows if he’s an atheist”.

I’d like to think he’s saying “oh your god” now too.
