Killer whales, primates, crows, plenty of animals seem to demonstrate problem solving skills, true communication, situational awareness. cats do not. they seem to operate solely on instinct and any deviation completely flummoxes system.

Well, you’re wrong. As with most mammals, domestic cats have a respectable level of intelligence, and in fact have demonstrated such across numerous documented examples. They’re massively successful, self-sustaining creatures, actually being so successful that they’re considered invasive pests in some areas of the world. Unlike domestic dogs for example, who typically don’t fare well on their own.
Few or any persons at all coming from a facts & reality and/or science background would ever state that cats are “real dumb.”
here, smart means “aware enough to not run under a titan’s feet”, a test cats fail to meet regularly.
