Bush Jr. Did a bump set for Trump with the patriot act, going around Congress for wars, stacking courts… Citizen’s United was rammed thru by 5 justices appointed by W Jr (2) Reagan (2) and HW (1). Which makes it pretty obvious that the CIA and by extension now the courts are essentially just the henchmen for the American corporate cartel.
Trump is a patsy so if all this shit backfires they can go “whoa whoa whoa WE didn’t do a bunch of genocides and political murders! That was that crazy guy and all his cartoonishly evil henchmen! We’re regular adults and we’re reasonable. We’ll just dial back the fascism a bit for a while. Now shut up and get back to work.”
None of this is wrong, but to call trump just a patsy now seems wrong. The first term, yeah. This term is all about his whims, ring-kissing, and burning the house to the ground to feel important.
