Typical chickenhawk shit - anyone calling out your hypocrisy must be Russian.
Pathetic.

The literal thing Ukraine did
And again, if you think Ukraine launched an attack on multiple NATO states without authorization, you’re an idiot.
which makes me question what you really stand for
Having family that has literally been refugees in columns, nothing disgusts me more than the scum like you that sits and cheers for a war, all while safe at home from the effects of it. Even the fascists fighting on both sides of that conflict aren’t as disgusting morally to me as that.

Si, claro tio.
I’m not saying that every, or even most, politicians are held to account here. I’m just saying ANY is a change from the US.

You’re confusing cause and effect - Germany industry dropped in relation to the price, which did reduce the price. https://news.laodong.vn/the-gioi/duc-lao-dao-voi-thiet-hai-khong-lo-vu-pha-hoai-nord-stream-1580126.ldo
German lawmaker’s estimate it cost at least 180 Billion to the German economy.
Germany was able to mitigate some of this by reducing consumer demand, and had mild winters. But that doesn’t remove the problem.

Again, what is your solution? The war continues on, with more and more Ukrainians dying?
You don’t have to love Russia to realize that we sit next to them and have to work out something. And having a proxy war through Ukraine isn’t the way to do that, unless you don’t give a shit about the Ukranians, and Russians dying.
Get as pissed as you want, chickenhawk. There’s no vans kidnapping you for the trenches.

as an American that emigrated to Spain, it’s still so odd to me to see any form of accountability in government

Your support ends with you having to fight for the war you supposedly support?

and I support them for it
Cool, go sign up then; there’s a Ukrainian conscript in the trenches that’ll gladly switch places with you.

And yes, when German industry collapsed, they started using less LNG. That’s what happens when a price rises, amount demanded falls.

they wouldn’t have reengaged it until pro russian politicians got to power
They had it as a barganing chip, and you seem to take it as a given they wouldn’t bargain with it.
by spring 2023 it was thoroughly patched up
No, it wasn’t. Germany switched to far pricier American LNG where it has remained.

Right, yeah, I forgot; once we decided it wasn’t Russia that did something directly against themselves, we figured out that Ukraine decided to literally attack 2 NATO members on their own, despite the consequences of that.

European gas prices immediately jumped 12 percent on news of the bombing. Yes, Nordstream I had been turned off - but was unlikely to remain off for years as it has. Which is, of course, exactly why it was done, to ensure that Russian gas couldn’t be shipped to Germany. The direct costs were at least 2.8 billion - https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/abs/pii/S0959652626023292
Whoever blew it up
Yeah, if you think Ukraine attacked a NATO member without authorization, I have a few bridges to sell to you.

Exactly. The US under Biden blew up NordStream, and basically put Germany into a depression.
And the reaction of German and “European” leaders is to lick the boot harder.

Jesus Christ, idiots want to push up their chests and talk like nuclear powers are boys on a playground.

Fuck the US.
That said, we also live next to Russia, and we’re going to need to find some way to deal with it. Germany wants to raise tensions more as a justification for an arms industry to replace their failed automotive sector than for real security concerns, IMO.

Apologies, was meant for dreamkeeper.
Do check out that book though - the painting of MLK as willing to endorse non-violence at the cost of the movement is simply not correct. Non-violence was a strategy used in the mid-60s for a very specific reason, but liberals want to pretend it’s the only way for any action to be legitimate.

If you’re actually spending for defense, and not force proejction, you don’t need to spend more. You just need drones and nukes.
