On Reddit there’s a lot of “lemmy’s too complicated to be adopted by the general public”. Ik we don’t all have the same tech literacy but it doesn’t seem that complicated, like, do you understand emailing? Then you understand most of what lemmy is… (also you don’t even have to understand the intricacies to enjoy your experience there)

Yep but I’d rather my loved ones be safe than hold on to moral high ground, if they can share information about dates they had in a private group I don’t see the harm.
The women who go on there clearly do it not out of spite for men but because the system is clearly not sufficiently ensuring their safety. I’m not saying it’s a good solution but idk why the internet is so enthusiastic about women who likely had bad experiences (including r*pe) being doxxed and calling it karma…
Well legal or not, in the EU there are Facebook groups like this for every city. So it seems to be a need for women to ensure their safety. Don’t understand what’s so controversial about that… it’s like cancel culture: when there are no legal repercussions to misbehaving stuff like this happens.
And I thought .ml stood for machine learning. I wondered why they made me read the communist manifesto to join…
