If you want to be cynical at least this weather becoming more regular will eventually help with the financial problems of the retirement- and healthcare-systems in an aging European population by lowering life-expectancy again

Tbf climate change can also lead to crazy cold weather from time to time as both extremes get more extreme due to more humidity in an increasingly warmer air
