Maybe not Mastercard or Visa but your local payment service for most stuff. The Netherlands has Tikkie, Switzerland has Twint, Spain has Bizum but yeah what you can pay with those can be quite limited

I’d love to move to Element but nobody’s there. It’s already been a struggle to get people over to Signal and that one’s got more momentum. Maybe the EU taking a louder stance could create some? Idk
