I see, that was some neatly placed irony :)

I believe you don’t understand how Hitler’s mind worked. He was clearly pro-life, just not pro-every-life. Similar to what happens on a daily basis in a lot of countries. Ethnic cleansing was done because of ethnicity, not because of age.
Also about the concentration camps, I don’t know enough about this part. Was it a clear order and idea of Hitler? Or was the idea to get rid of jews, but the infrastructure was not ready for this amount of people, and thus someone like Goebbels brought the idea of just getting rid of them locally? I remember reading somewhere that at the beginning, they tried to deport the people, but soon realized they were not able to do that in a timely manner.
PS: I had to puke a little describing Hitler as pro-life under the circumstances, unfortunately it is technocally right. He loved people, also children. Just hated jews.
Hmm. I think Adolf was not bad to children (or maybe I am missing some information) and debating him would be fun for me, too.
Arabs are usually too patriotic and uninterested in children. Diddy is too diddly. And no idea who top left is.
Whoever came up with that, you have a beautiful and amazing mind

World News@lemmy.world•Far-right AfD win in Germany is ‘grave moment’ for Europe, politicians warnEnglish
11·3 days agoLook into the US and you know that this plan is successful. It does not even matter what the party is delivering. That’s the whole problem. Morals and ethics do not matter. The immoral and unethical politician is always going to win. The politicians playing by the rules will always lose.
We had so many fucking years to exactly see that, and yet in the US and even here they fail to address the issue properly.

World News@lemmy.world•Far-right AfD win in Germany is ‘grave moment’ for Europe, politicians warnEnglish
38·3 days agoWhy do politicians fail to understand what the underlying problem is? AfD is not using some tricks. They just listen to the people and address pain pojnts. And as long as I read headlines such as “politicians express alarm”, then I know that nothing is going to change. AfD is the ONLY option people have, as all the other parties are even worse for middle and low class citizens.
The success of AfD is because we have incapable and corrupt politicians that rather blindly support Isreal instead of missing that beautiful €50k donation. So fuck off. Well deserved. And I fucking hate the current situation, including the extreme views of the AfD.

1·3 days agoIt is weird, but also nice to see. We need the simple minded people. We need those that just want to have a working OS so that they can play a game or edit a document. That’s the beauty and curse of Linux. It will eventually make some people angry, because open source projects will come and go. Bazzite might be maintained now, but maybe not tomorrow. And the simple minded people don’t want to switch to something different. So I really hope the popularity is motivating current and future maintainers to make their userbase happy, even if I am not part of that one.
Worth noting: “simple people” is in no way meant as a derogatory term, I honestly even envy them.

2·3 days agoYeah I tried all that. While homebrew is awesome for macos, for linux you are missing a lot of packages. I used distrobox, too. The amount of extra steps needed to just have a binary running is just not justifiable for my type of work. While I was able to do everything with Bazzite, I felt super inefficient and slow.

2·3 days agoYeah my way of using linux is just not suitable for immutable systems. While it is good for most people, and while I love the philosophy of having immutable systems, I ended up using rpmtree constantly for the most simple things. And honestly, the only thing missing for it to be a very usable working OS is something like Homebrew.
So yes. It made me mad. I’d rather have a bit more freedom in my terminal emulator.

5·4 days agoI do the updates when I feel like it, roughly once every couple days. I don’t check anything at all to be honest, because I use CachyOS on my private computer and I honestly do not care so much about getting malware. I know, probably not the answer you expected, I just learned to live with the risk. Besides that, I try to install flatpacks or via npm. pacman is just used for the things where no other option exists. AUR is a huge mess and will always be full of malware, so don’t ever use Arch on any important devices. This is why on my servers I have Debian 13. CachyOS has own repositories, but as far as I know they just mirror AUR and add/modify some build flags

Went to Bazzite, made me mad constantly.
Now I am on CachyOS for ages and couldn’t be happier. I only dislike the daily 4726 updates.

Your “Yes” made me suspicious. As expected, it is not a clear yes. Historians are not sure what exactly happened. What they know is, that there were many people part of this whole genocide. Heinrich Himmler was responsible for building Dachau, the first concentration camp. Many others were involved afterwards.
Hitler most likely knew about all of this and let it happen. But it is not known if there was ever a clear order from Hitler, or if it was suggested by someone else.
