In Europe, after centuries of religious wars, inquisitions, and oppression, people began to choose reason, science, and freedom. This led to the Enlightenment and eventually the separation of church and state. In the Middle East, secularism was often imposed by colonial powers rather than growing from within. As a result, people distrusted it and clung more tightly to religion as a source of identity and resistance. That’s why religion remained more deeply tied to law, politics, and power there, unfortunately. As long as that deep connection between religion, identity, and control remains, the risk of extremism and horrible consequences like this sadly continues.

Lets break the cycle of violence and killing to solve a conflict and start to de escalate wars with our mouths instead of more killing, plus they deserve lifelong torture in prison instead of a quick death. But thats a naive way to think about I guess and justice will never happen on this world
